Submission of Research Proposal under 18th Call for Proposals by the Common Fund for Commodities

Focal Persons of Constituent & Affiliated Institutes

1. The call for proposal submission under Common Fund for Commodities (CFC) (an autonomous intergovernmental financial institution) is open for financing the projects along the commodity value chains. Projects with a CFC contribution not exceeding USD 120,000 are eligible to be financed.

2. The Project proposals incorporating innovative solutions for the commodity sector (e.g. new agritech applications, innovative productivity practices, regenerative technologies, increase availability of renewable and affordable energy, expanding environmental services, expediting green recovery, adding to the nutrition security, climate-friendly practices contributing to biodiversity, saving deforestation, digitalization etc) are especially encouraged to apply. The CFC also seeks to support business activities in the field of commodity development, including agriculture, minerals and metals in Developing Countries.

3. The deadline for submission of proposals is April 15, 2021.  However, researchers/faculty members of NUMS and its constituent institutes are advised to please submit 1 x hard and soft copy of the research proposal to NUMS-ORIC by 07 April 2021 for internal processing & approvals and further issuance of the letter of support, ethical approval (if required) and as per instructions onward sharing the copy of the submitted proposal with the focal person of Ministry of Economic Affairs (Economic Affairs Division).
